A gentle, sensory performance for toddlers and their grown-ups
Step into Cliodhna Noonan’s Silver Tree, a magical performance inspired by a Romanian legend about a fairy who visits newborns to gift them something special for life. Together, we wonder: What do we wish for the future?
Designed especially for toddlers and their carers, this enchanting experience blends storytelling, gentle movement, and sensory play. Children are invited to listen, explore, and take part — choosing their own “gift” from the fairy’s tray to keep the magic going after the show.
Through Silver Tree, children and families:
Share stories of heritage and belonging – discovering Romanian traditions and thinking about those from Ireland and beyond.
Explore and imagine – Where is Romania? How does a tree become silver? What happens in a butterfly’s life cycle?
Communicate and connect – Talking together about the gifts we might bring to the world.
Feel safe and inspired – Building confidence in a welcoming, sensory-friendly arts space.
Now celebrating its 15th year, Silver Tree continues to delight young audiences and spark conversations about identity, kindness, and the beautiful possibilities of growing up.
