Creative Creatures with Anne Cradden (Visual Art)
About this workshop
In this workshop we’ll be inspired by the animals featured in Ceol na Sióg, from mice and owls to squirrels, crows, herons and dolphins. We’ll be using repurposed materials to make masks, headgear and costumes that make us FEEL like these incredible animals of the Irish countryside. Fur, claws, horns, wings, fangs, paws, feathers, antlers, beaks, hooves …Can you bring out your animal side?
About the Artist

Anne Cradden is an artist who loves drawing and making things out of all sorts of other things. She also loves sharing this with children, because she has found that grown-ups and kids all have something to teach each other about the joy of unleashing our imaginations. She has facilitated many art workshops, sculpture collaborations, dress-up sessions, and Sellotape-related experiments with children in a variety of settings, while enjoying herself very much at the same time. She is currently artist in residence for Fingal County Council’s Room 13 project at Tyrellstown Educate Together National School, where she collaborates with the students on genius works of art.
