Join Jack Warnock, Oisín McCann, and Catriona Ní Ghribín, as we journey the hills and dales of Ulster through magical melody and sparkling song. Come explore the landscape with us, from the beaches of the North coast to the mountains of Donegal, the lakes of Cavan, to the towering skyscrapers of Belfast. Venture through the terrain of Ulster, uncovering the stories this ancient land has to tell.
Jack Warnock is a multi-instrumentalist and singer from Maghera, Co. Derry. In recent years Jack has been nominated for the prestigious BBC Young Folk Award, won the Senior Accompaniment Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, and received the ‘Young Musician’s Platform’ award from ACNI and BBC NI.
Catriona Gribben is an experienced Traditional musician from Gweedore, the heart of the Gaeltacht of County Donegal. Growing up she was immersed in Irish language, music and culture. From the age of thirteen, Catriona performed with An Crann Óg, a local Traditional music group that promoted the music and songs from the area. An Crann Óg, gigged extensively around Ireland and Scotland, also to Gießen Germany to the Catskills in New York State.
Oisín McCann on uilleann pipes, whistles & vocals has just completed his studies of Traditional Music in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow and is a regular on the session scene around the city. His influences are strongly connected to his upbringing in Warrenpoint and Counties Armagh and Tyrone.
